Episode 003: Daniel Tawiah
I met Daniel years ago, when he was introduced to me by our mutual friend, Ash Patel. (Shout out to Ash) What I remember from Daniel, was he was that he talked about how amazing Ghana was and the importance of me visiting to see for myself.
I wanted to interview Daniel because I know he’s been in the USA for years, he was VP of Marketing at Nike for 12 years, he also served in multiple executive roles including senior digital brand director of North America, senior digital brand director of global digital brand, and senior digital brand lead of global football, Fuelband and emerging markets.
People have said there Daniel Tawiah "shaped the evolution of Nike's global digital ecosystem, and was a key force in driving its double-digit growth over the past decade," He also drove "some of Nike's largest global activations, such as the 2010 FIFA World Cup (South Africa), 2012 Olympics (London), and 2014 FIFA World Cup (Brazil)," in addition to assisting the company in forming key partnerships with a variety of sports clubs, athletes and cultural influencers."
In his own words Daniel say’s that he’s passionate about connecting brands to consumers in meaningful, unexpected ways, leveraging digital innovation and data. My goal is to build a brand that truly transcends beyond the world of Fantasy sports.
